Evgiros

Evgiros Villas are situated in the southern part of the island of Lefkada, in the village of Evgiros. The village’s name means “aging well” because according to the tradition its villagers live for many years. Evgiros village is part of the Apollonion Municipality, 27 km away from the town of Lefkada, between the Syvota cove and the picturesque village of Vasiliki. On the south side of the village there is Choirospilia, a cave in which the archeologist Wilhelm Dörpfeld discovered the remains of a Neolithic civilization and remains of life which led him to believe that Eumaeus stables were here. There you can also visit the picturesque café of “Spyros o Moustakias”, the traditional bakery of kyra-Gianna with its famous crackers- paximadia, and the tavern of Giorgalaki with its delicious appetizers and fresh salads. Evgiros has also its own beach on the cove of Afteli known as Skidi.
